Sconty

Steve on X

Sconty was an affiliate shopping site, helping people find the best deals and latest offers from retailers like Argos, John Lewis and House of Fraser. The client came to Wired Media with an existing Symfony and Propel site that needed an agency to take it on: a redesign first, then ongoing development.

A mega menu that stays on screen

The redesign was about usability, and the biggest change was the navigation, which had been cluttered and disorganized. I rebuilt it as a mega menu in CSS, with jQuery measuring each dropdown so the big ones stay on screen, and splitting long lists into columns. The client worked closely with us throughout, and was as interested in how we thought things should work as in what he'd sketched.

I worked with Steve for 4 years at Wired Media. I've always found Steve to be loyal, punctual, professional and commercially minded. His work is of a very high standard and Steve continually strived to learn and try new technologies. I found Steve to be a model employee and a pleasure to know and work with.

Ben Lumley, Lead Developer at Wired Media

Steve is a highly skilled and conscientious developer with a great understanding of the web and the technologies that underpin it. He listens and takes time to understand (and occasionally question!) a client's needs and then reliably produces work of a high standard within agreed timeframes and budgets.

If you need a developer I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Steve.
